FYI I called Mystic and they no longer sell it in Canada. They were previously in Canadian Tire but have stopped carrying it. It is not available this side of the border.

He!s mentioned why a lot. And you guys have been around a lot.

my experience is it stinks, makes you stink, makes your mud room stink, and exhaust valves got crusty and needs more cleaning. I used it for 2 years straight. Local store had it mismarked ($25) and each time i bought a gallon i would tell them it was mismarked. Took 2 years for them to change it. Lol.
I did not buy a bunch at once because i didn’t want them to lose alot and then figure it out. As you see, it turned out they did. Doh.

SINTO IS A NO-NO

Where are the API MARKINGS and Certifications?

This does not appear to be a manufacturer, it seems to be only a sales organization.

OK, if the Scheaffer of the north is our only choice when we do the Gaspe peninsula, we'll run it or find the local Lawn Boy dealership...... Somehow I suspect there will still be other options.
😁😁😁

Carbon Clean Advantage: Polaris Carbon Clean Fuel Treatment is a high-quality fuel treatment, designed to clean and protect small engine fuel systems for up to two years. The proprietary alcohol free additive system is formulated using the latest technology to clean the fuel system and maintain fuel quality.

Alcohol free. Some fuel treatments contain alcohol, which when used in ethanol-blended fuels (E10) can increase the alcohol content of the fuel over the recommended maximum for the engine. This can result in hotter burning of fuel, leading to higher cylinder head, combustion chamber and exhaust port temperatures which can damage the engine.

Polaris Proprietary Formula: Modern ethanol-blended (E10) fuels are designed to be used shortly after they are produced and begin to degrade after a short period. Carbon Clean is a premium powersports grade fuel treatment which provides long-term fuel stability, cleans entire fuel system from fuel tank to exhaust, and provides corrosion inhibition for sensitive fuel system components like idle jets or injector nozzles.

Custom Additive System: Polaris Carbon Clean uses advanced fuel detergents to remove existing carbon deposit inside the engine and maintain peak performance. The cleaning capabilities helps prevent and remove byproducts of oxidation such as gum and varnish.

At the dealer they had a little display comparing carbon clean vs regular polaris fuel stabilizer. It's definitely a fuel stabilizer.

Also here's a Polaris YouTube video..at the start he talks about fuel and carbon clean.

Before putting my sled in the trailer for storage today, I took it for a short ride around the lake and all I can say is Man do these things smoke! I’ve never owned a sled that smoked this bad. Granted it was warm at 5c (40f) but next to a doo 850 and an old carbureted 500 it was smoking more than the two combined and it smoked more than I thought it should even when it was cold out.
Without starting a whole other debate has anyone found other oils to smoke less than the VES extreme or are these just smoky engines? Mainly wondering if XPS oil in these smokes less because I didn’t get a chance to test it.

Let's just put it this way if your running that stuff. Be sure to fog the engine well if you're not going to ride the sled for a few weeks. Seen enough engines apart with dry internals beginning to rust.
I have been using AMSOIL synthetic for over 20 years, have had many 2 strokes that went up to 10,000 miles before rebuild, and have not had that problem. It has an additive package that includes anti-corrosion features.

NOW, the Union Carbide synthetic (used premix) sold in the mid seventies, did not provide any anti-corrosion protection at all, and so we change fuel in the tanks,OR temporarily hooked up a fuel source with premix that had a heavy mix of good two stroke oil, and then ran the engine enough to replace what is in the fuel bowl, and give protection to the engine.
