Not an 850 but here are my 800 valves with just under 4k on them. They slid right out, no effort at all after I cleared the locating pin (which you can see was corroded to the cylinder). These were run on VES for the first 3,500 miles then I dumped in a quart of leftover XPS, then I switched to VES extreme. The key I believe is running Carbon Clean in the fuel, which I've done since 3,500 miles. I've taken other 800 valves out, with less miles, VES only, and they were always a sticky mess.

I mix all 3 together. [emoji6]

That has to be better! [emoji23]
At some point or another, I’ve used Cat Formula 50, APV, VES Extreme, Mystik JT4, Citgo Sea & Snow, Klotz, XPS, Lucas and Yamalube, so mixing definitely happened. In my old ‘12 Rotax 600, I’ve dumped in whatever right after each other and never had an issue. Not sure if it helped, hurt or made no difference at all, but it always ran. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They're pretty similar to the valves in my 600 running spectro. I don't run any fuel additives.

In virginia they don't stock snowmobile synthetic. I will wait and buy it locally when I am up in NY next.
Looks like Blain Farm and Fleet ships Mystik JT-4
reasonable. Playing with amts to see shipping, looks like shipping amt per gallon is cheapest at the 4 gallon level.

I’m investing in the carbon clean from the get go also. With the Valves and dirty injectors that can cause big issues I think it’s wise. Just the maintenance dose throughout the season. I used the Yamaha ‘Ring Free” product for many years with 0 issues also.. great product.

You can get amsoil interceptor directly from amsoil for $60 Canadian per gallon. That’s $30 less than a gallon of VES extreme here so that is a significant saving. I might get a jug and see how it runs.

I just bought a case of Mystic JT-4 Synthetic at Blaines last month. They price matched the Fleet Farm sale price on that weeks flyer and gave me my 10% Fleet Farm members discount that was also applicable that weekend....after everything, including the $8 rebate (called rebate center to make sure all was good, and it was)....net price was $17 per gallon. I have been using Mystic/ Citco Sea & Snow for 22 years...no issues!
