Has anyone tried the Hygear linkage kit part # 75 35 042 r for a 129 or 137? What are your thoughts on this product and what areas did it make a difference

Major dollars for the 129 set up. The gullwing mount adds $175 to the regular kit of $205. They suggest a revalve as well with kit. I am finding that trails are only getting flatter where I ride, not sure if it is money well spent. Would like to hear what people who ride similar to me say about the kit for a 129.

I have the kit on my 129, I’ve found it does much more for the entire ride quality than just preventing bottoming. As posted trails are getting smoother to some degree but in return it seems stutters are a more common occurrence which to me the pro-Cc lacks in. With the linkage this thing glides over them, I’ve also seen an increase in cornering performance while allowing a looser set up on the transfer blocks for a more spirited ride. I started on a stock Cc rear shock going by the description and revalve recommendations but late in the season situation and wasn’t to thrilled at first. I went onto using a stock XCR rear shock with stiffer rebound and was blown away with the ride and handling. I did get a Hygear revalved rear shock in after the season and it sure seems even more stiffer than the cc one I was testing but I’ll give it a go. I also found I was able to soften my front track shock up some.

If I am reading the chart in post 11 correctly it shows that it will be softer in the first half of travel and then slightly firmer in the last half of travel. Is that correct? I am not having bottoming issues at this time. Sled is 21 vr1 137 I don't ride hard too much anymore just looking for a little more trail compliance.

Wonder how it holds up in the 1-3 ft moguls and lard landings? I have the fts and rear revalved for x country. Along with the x-country front track spring and heavy duty torsions. It did great in the 100+ mile x-country. Just curious if it would hold up to the racing.

I have it installed and run 225 riding weight. Had both skid XCR shocked revalved for this kit and run HD torsions. That said, this piece along with the gullwing are far and away significantly more robust than what came on sled from factory. I wouldnt even give it a thought that any of these components will be a point of failure. You will bend a rail or bend a torque arm long before you have issue with this kit. Even the install bolts are all grade 8.8 minimum

I installed the kit on my 23 136 XCR, had all 4 shocks re-valved at the same time by Wentzlaff. I am going to be honest its hard to give an honest opinion on the linkage as I did shock valving at the same time, and I was only able to put like 600 miles? on this year... and most of those were in farm fields or on super low snow trails up north. One thing I can guarantee is the ride is significantly more plush, which makes sense as its supposed to make the pro cc more like an r motion. I would definitely do it all over again.
