Supposed to be posting to Facebook eventually so I’ll show the proof. St Mary’s river run UP Michigan

roughly 800 feet on 4-5 inches of loose snow. Heavy cross winds. Just terrible no traction entire run.

I won the 2 stroke class with a 92.3. 23 boost 129 bcm 96 octane tune 218 hp. Cobra. 250 lb rider. BCM clutch weights . 140-320 primary. Stock helix and secondary. Power flow valve. Updated reeds with billet intakes. Clutches aligned by Phil patriotic innovations . Stock otherwise. Running 100LL fuel mixed with 93. I can run this tune on boostane alone but it’s inconsistent and will sometimes deto on longer pulls past 1000 feet.

only one sled beat me with a 93.4. 280 tune thundercat. Clutched and geared. Two other 270 tuned thundercat ran 89-91

Speedwerx 2.5 tune boost 89

stock 850s NA 80-82 mph

crossfire 1000 boondocker tune and pipe 88

stock skidoo 900 r turbo 83

f7 80

stock doo 850 turbo 83

600s 65-77

etc

I’m happy.

Amazing that you did so well! And with 60 less hp. :ROFLMAO:

That was everyone today. Was a crap shoot. I only made 4 runs. Way less than everyone else actually. The guy with the 2.5 got his to hook and carried the skis for half the track I was worried. But still just got 89. I didn’t even pin it until half track. Was just terrible lol

I went 89, 91,91,92. Fastest pass was hanging off the back got a bit of traction the last 200 feet lol

I figured. Thought about getting one in the future but I’m mostly trail rider. Some say they handle great but I just don’t believe they turn. And the no rear coupling has got to be ridiculous. If I move my blocks back it’s fun for 10 minutes but too much ski lift it’s ridiculous

thinking 137 possibly if I don’t keep this sled long term. I’m nearing 3000 trouble free hard ass miles. So far so good. Thinking maybe just rebuild around 5000 to be safe

Thanks Troy. Good thing we did it. Your sled was way too far out of good alignment. And had zero float. How can Polaris sell a $23,000 sled that way? My one riding buddy had one that wore a belt out on 800 miles. My own Boost was almost as bad, but I realigned it before riding it. It reached 110 mph speedo in about 660 ft on 3-4" of snow at Starvation Lake near Mancelona a few years ago. That was totally stock.

The Assaults can be made to turn, and handle well on trails, without a lot of work, just some basics. Many owners want them to be wheelie machines.

I hope so lol. Jumps and wheelies great Turn bars and it goes straight unless I’m go 25 and under. I know it needs some work but I may never get used to it. I went around a corner I do on my sled at 55 I thought I was a dead man at 30

I just turned 40. Kind of old I guess. I been riding solo this year mostly so I usually ride at 80% or so to be safe . Being crazy and blowing turns isn’t safe for anyone. Gotta stay on your side in turns even though it’s rarely the fastest line. I’m lucky to still be alive with the crap I did 10 years ago . Live and learn

I’ve had a bunch of sleds. My 14 Indy 800 SP 121 was the fastest sled though trails I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. Short tracks are faster in the turns period

it had nothing but 7.5 shapers and 144 studs. Never touched anything else. I might even buy another one. Still kind of miss it. It was pretty fast too

The p85 sleds were non turbo, his sled was a tuned up turbo sled. That’s not a good comparison.
My untuned Boost went 100 plus mph in 660ft with a p85.
How come you didn’t show the dragy’s from your sled that you promised us last season? Was it not that fast?

I didn't waste my time trying to enlighten you Mike. You obviously wouldn't believe me anyway. Face it. You are well known for poor ability to evaluate things fairly. Anyone who can't even properly measure a drivebelt has poor credibility with me. Dragy testing is not nearly as accurate as side by side racing anyway. Too much is dependent on widely variable factors. And, I do side by side racing all the time. :D
