I went to take secondary clutch off remove the bolt give a liitle tug and nothing wtf.Any one have any tricks to removing them when they are stuck. It is a splined shaft and never had problems removing it any other year.

That seems odd as there is only 1 bolt holding it on. I'd hit it with a rubber mallet a few times. Maybe lift it up, remove the air box and move the track so you can hit all the way around it.
thanks that's all i could think of doing myself i was not sure if anyone had this problem before. It should slide right off and always has i will give it a try.
The bolt comes off no problem it is just the clutch that seems frozen on the spline shaft.

I can't get mine off. 700xc. I know on the trail last year the bolt backed out and I could not find the big metal circle thing with the hole in the middle so I had to pound the key back into the slot as best I could it was not deep enough to allow the round metal thing anywhere near back into the space it is supposed to hold.
I can NOT now get that damn secondary off. pb blaster last night hope it will slide off tomorrow but I likely doubt it. Can not believe how tight it is can't even budge it. I am sure it has to do with the damn key I pounded into the shaft but on the trail we do all sorts of bad stuff to keep going. Any other suggestions. I will likely have to pull the air box to have at it.

With a Polaris button clutch,,remove the adjuster plate from the clutch,find 3 longer bolts to go in the plate holes and use a crows foot puller to remove the clutch:thumbsup:

there are bolt pullers for the newer driven clutches. s.p.i. makes them not much money. they work just like a drive clutch puller. this is the safest, surest, way to get it off.

Not this one has no inside threads. As HSR said need a crow puller that I hope will hey inside where the bushing was. And there is the damn key I had to hammer back in on the trail last year. Still the damn clutch is coming off so I don't see why the key would be a problem. I'd I wanted the key to go deeper I could see a problem because it is probably twisted a little and off kilter.

Okay guys i love the humor if we can't laugh WTF . But with some mcgaiver shit mixing pullers and arms it WORKED freaking tight quarters in there to work/use the right center punch. Then i filled the center with some nuts to drive the center screw of the puller because the threads ended on the puller and it was not off yet! now I like those side open panels a lot more!!!
Thanks all. it was the crow puller. It didn't pop I really had to drive it off but the damn thing is off. And I have learned another lesson on pullers/clutches.

I believe the key is not 1/4 square but is 1/4 by 3/16 by 2" at least. The square 1/4 did not fit
