The price seems high at 5100. I paid 6700 off the show room floor in 2005. Does the machine have a rear heat exchanger. If not you may experince a large ice build up on cold days. (About 50 lbs). The suspension is hard to adjust. I changed the OEM one for an M10. Check the Vin at the dealership. There may be recalls on it. Other than those things , it is a great trail machine. The engine, front end, and clutching is great. Good luck

05 rage

Norbert: I have an 05 Rage with about 4500 miles on it. The first thing you need to do is either buy some new skis or as I did, install some Woodys Doolie carbides. This made riding a whole new experience. Without them the sled darts all over the place. My daughter has an 04 Warrior , had the same darting issue and the Doolies fixed the problem.
I would also reccomend picking up an Optimate battery charger. Since there is no pull start you are totally dependent on a good battery. I charge the battery after every other ride and once a month during the summer. I just replaced it with a new battery in 2010 season. It seemed to be fine , however i didn't want to take any chances. I also carry a small set of jumper cables.
The only recall I remember was for clutch rattle. The dealer put on some o rings which quieted things down. I'm still running thr original belt. Great trail sled and can get 20 mpg touring.
Good luck !! Combat

Man there is a dealer in NY right now that just uncrated a brand new 05 rx-1 and is selling it for $5999 with full warranty. I wish I was in the market because I'd buy it and buy the extended 4 year warranty and ride the hell out of it and let yammi update all the suspension parts as they break under warranty. I truely loved my 05 RX-1!!! reliable and fast...

I've got an 05 RS Rage and have loved it for the trail. Have logged slight over 4500 miles since new in late o5. Maintenance has been minor in my opinion, replaced a few bearings in the skid, all new bushings in the control arms and new hifax runners. New battery also in late 2008.

Make me an offer, it has all the saddlebags it needs. Rear seat bag, front tank bag and windshield bag, full cover and dually carbides. Adult driven as I am 49 years old and all miles have been in the Isabella area.
