M drop brackets for the Xfire

Hey everyone, I have been thinking about putting to 2010 M, rear skid drop brackets, on my 06 Xfire 700. I want it to set up a little higher in the back for looks and for riding out west. My question is: will it work? Am i going to gain anything? and am i really going to sacrifice my handling on the trails. thanks

It will work, but you will have to put the upper part of the rear scissor arm out of a 06 M7 to make it work. This is the part where the upper idler wheels are bolted to. You need this because with the M7 drop bracket in it make it wider where you bolt the two rear bolts in. The 06 M7 upper scissor arm is around $100 from the dealer, but I found one on ebay for $50.
