Do a search on V-force reeds in this forum, and you'll see a lot of folks have had negative experiences (on CFI sleds). I put them on the ol' xcr8, and they livened it up quite a bit (stockers had 8,000 miles, so..). The folks who've commented on here by-and-large have had poor luck on the CFI sleds. Check it out.

 

IMO waste of money. I have seen reports of reeds chipping on the CFI’s due to no lubrication for the reeds (only air going thru the intake on a CFI). People I’ve talked to who actually use them say they’ve noticed no difference in power or response. If your into the placebo effect then get’em. But I should note my information comes from the 800 CFI crew.

 

we put them in 09 dragon 800 they chipped after 800 miles ,no real power difference like the xc twins, waste of money imo

 

My research is that they make less HP and are prone to break.
I've been after Boysen to make some rage cages for them, but they said NO!
