Agreed. Good weight savings. Combine that with the 10 pounds I could stand to lose, and you have a rocketship. :)
Between the battery (10lbs), the SLP Lightweight silencer (7.7lbs), and me losing another 10lbs over the summer... adds up pretty quick.

Downside of traditional LifeP04 batteries is cold temperature performance. Hopefully they have addressed this with current formulations.

My buddy has the Noco battery. He thought the exact same thing as you. He installed it into a Doo. He also has a recoil under the side panel in case of issue which came in handy last year with the OEM battery finally failing.

Seemed to work great for him and I don't recall any issues over night.

Anyone use the firepower lithium battery that Bikemen performance is selling?I picked one up but have not tried it yet…
yes we do. if really cold just bump the starter. this wakes up the battery. if you try to just start without doing that. it can kill the battery. no issue down to 5-10 below. but if colder then that do the above wait 30 seconds and start.

This is true, but once the sled is started, underhood heat warms the battery and eliminates this issue for the rest of the day. Sometimes I might need to rope start my sled first thing in the morning, but that is it.

So NOCO NLP14 has 500CCA for $130...stock battery is 250 CCA. 13lbs vs 2.6lbs. 5 year warranty...what is not to love.
any downside?
How these Noco batteries working out for people? My stock Poo battery on a 22 Switchback XC is well....poo! Doesn't hold or take charge.

I went with the Antigravity ATZ10 Restart battery. Much smaller than stock, 360 CA. And will use the Antigravity foam kit to take up the extra space.
