Find a used one. I had one on one of my old 03 sno pros and ended up going back to a reg seat it was just to tall for trail riding but worked good for jumping. I did get the High rise version though.

 

They are kinda hard to come by. Ill have have to look into the other options others posted. I can't believe boss can run a business like that. I hope no one EVER buys a seat from them again! !!!!

They do screw around on times but I LOVED my seat .

Have you tried purchasing a BOSS seat from a vendor instead of direct from them? I bought mine last year from firstplaceparts.com - they had one in stock. Shipping was expensive, but I was so glad I did. I'm 6-4 and hated even my 05 stock seat cause it was too low and very uncomfortable for me. I tried a wedge and took it off within 200 miles.

I did have issues with the zippers on my Boss seat, but they went out of their way to make it up to me.

Yeah I went that route but firstplaceparts.com say delivery date 10th of Jan. and thats an estimate.

 

If you search the forums enough, you will find that Boss has had a bad reputation for not delivering in time and requiring less than desirable lead times. Your case by no means surprises me.

 

This is a hard call.

Boss With there early seats had long wait times BUT top of the line quality, Handmade in the USA seats.

Boss switches to china manufacturing, seats are now stocked everywhere no problem getting them quality slides.

Boss goes BACK to handmade in the USA, quality gets better wait time goes up.

Sorry but im happy they made the switch to putting quality first. Sure the wait times go up and make it a bit harder to get, but they keep there name of great quality seats.

I dont agree with incorrect wait times tho, that's BS. If they tell you 1 month it should be a month.

 

I agree with ya. My biggest problem is don't tell me a month when it's going to be 2 1/2. I am a bit happier I found a used one craigslist that I'm getting. So I guess I saved a couple bucks.

 

I bought mine used as well only thing to check is weight of previous owner mine was 220+ so it had heavier foam, im used to it now but just consideration.

But yeah that's unfortunate they should be able to figure out timelines better.
