The rubber snubbers that are recommended for use with the Gripper skis on Matryx flatland spindles, are Polaris part# 5412794 @ $12USD. For MY22 they are used in the Matryx Flatland International sled models, about a dozen of them, including the Matryx 650 Voyager and the Matryx 650 NordicPro. You will need 2 of them.

They are NOT the same snubbers used with the Matryx mountain sleds: Kaos, Pro RMK, Slash, etc. Also NOT the ones used by most AXYS mountain sleds.

If you look at the Polaris parts book for your sled, the diagram for the INTL skis, shows exactly what is needed with the Gripper skis.

Matryx are different….that’s what all the confusion is about. I’m still not sure what to order
That part number is what comes on axys swa 19-22.
The 5412794 (<-Corrected) part number, is Not shown in the parts books for MY21 Axys SWA 144.
There is no Polaris MY22 Axys SWA 144.

My post was pretty clear about what to use on Matryx flatland sleds with Gripper skis.
Get what the parts books say: in the diagram for the INTL skis: Ski rubber 5412794 (<-Corrected)

OR

You could lookup the MY22 Matryx SBA 146 and see what rubber snubbers are used on the Intl model ski diagram (Grippers).

Excursion, can you confirm the part number please. In post 44 the number is 5412794. In the above post it’s 5412974.
Did the 7 and 9 get transposed? Thanks for the info, ordered the grippers for my MY 22 Vr1 129 and want get the correct snubbers.
Thanks for catching my error, I have corrected that post. 5412794 is the number in the Polaris parts book for the MY22 Matryx flatland INTL trim sleds factory equipped with Gripper skis.

The Matryx mountain sleds have different spindles, than the flatland sleds. The Matryx mountain sleds use 5415230 Rubber ski snubbers, same as some AXYS mountain sleds.

Do this search and you can see which Polaris dealers have them in stock:

part 5412794

Click on "Check Dealer Stock"

Then click the button for "dealers with availability"

Ok sorry actually followed your instructions this time excursion and yes I was able to find them at a local dealer near me. Only problem is all of my local dealers are a 60 - 90 minute drive so I'll just have them shipped anyway like the skis. Sorry for not following your info more carefully the first time
I have to be fair to everyone on the site, you will only get a C+ for today's homework.

Hang in there, we're all learning.

Do some extra credit to raise your grade :)

They have different part numbers from Polaris and the reputable wear rod manufacturers for a reason:

Pro Steer carbides are NOT a perfect fit on Polaris Gripper skis.

SLP Mohawks and Powder Pros work best on a sled with low ski pressure. Easy, positive steering. I've got them on the whole fleet of long track sleds.
