Good review, but never heard best in class or game changing once!

 

Truth is in numbers and it’s been impossible to get them. We shall see what comes of the snodeo shootout in old forge / inlet this year.
I’m not going to make any prognostications, I’ll save that for others. Should be interesting if they did what they say they did

 

They did a great job, clearly filmed last spring without the ability the elaborate (or, potentially without knowledge of) the new display. I have my criticisms of Snow Trax, but I always learn something from them, and they do a good job.

I kinda disagree with Luke, though - The Catalyst Riot was much easier to trail ride than the ProCross version. The Catalyst Riot is a better trail sled than my 21 (regular) Riot, but is also better off-trail. It doesn't have the ZR Catalyst’s ability to corner, but it’s a crossover.

 

I like a lot of what Snow Trax does. They ride a ton of different sleds and give a relatively unbiased opinion. People often think they show bias to certain sleds or models, but ST is giving their opinion for what they like. People get bent out of shape when ST says Model X is better than the offended's Model Y, and the offended has never even ridden Model X. Snow Trax rode both, they should know.

I do think it would be difficult for Luke to rate the Riot any higher than he did. He's made it very clear he loves the Assault. The Riot would need to be in an entirely different stratosphere for Luke to like it more. Having said that, the Assault is clearly the benchmark in that category right now. The bar is set high.

 

Many of us have been asking for a tipped rail Riot since its release in 2020....still no dice.

My buddy's Assault gives up almost nothing on the trails with the wider front end and tipped rail, but is still exceptional off trail. This is the formula Cat should've targeted IMO.
