the drive axle bearing in the chain case is cracking. we have had 2 machines both with 2000 miles and the outer race was split. the bearing is superseded to a new part # so cat appears to be aware that there is a problem. the first sign will be a leak of oil on your floor. better to replace than be broke done.this is on 2003 models.
