Dynamix is here on the VR1! What do you guys think? Technology advancements are a good thing. Will Dynamix deliver?
that's what magnaride does in a denali. i quoted some struts today for a 16 yukon , almost 800 each. i wonder if these are rebuildable. or at least by a normal shock builder like me
i tried to look at the shock breakdown for an rzr , and it just shows the shockAnyone have any experience with it in the RZR?
Some like riding bumps, where quality shocks (with decent calibration!) make a differenceI don't understand everyone's obsession with shocks. We have been at the point of diminishing returns for a while. Save the money and donate the difference to the groomer fund
i ride tug hill mostly. i go from glass to craters. i have to be ready. i go out a tad stiff, like an xcr would be expected to feel like. not harsh . ready for nearly anything , though if it gets warm and the bumps get big and solid i may go up a click or 2. shocks are very important if you ride hard . safety can be there too as bottoming out can change your direction .Some like riding bumps, where quality shocks (with decent calibration!) make a difference
Once they figure out how to make their idler wheel bearings last more than one season then they should move to electronic suspension. Just sayinI don't understand everyone's obsession with shocks. You mean you’re not a fan of pancaking the chassis so hard it deflects the whole sled about 10 feet to one side or another. ? Poo missed that memo.that high speed phantom roller at the hill can send you flying.
It always runs good/best before it blows, lolRun , don’t walk , run. Imo They can’t get a traditional xcr right and some body thinks they are gonna nail this. No way. Like sleepy said my money says you should get a kidney belt and suck it down tight because boy was she plush , right before I shortened my spine about 2 inches. Lol.
remember hitting the running boards? yeah , i'm good. suspension itself is good with good valvingYou mean you’re not a fan of pancaking the chassis so hard it deflects the whole sled about 10 feet to one side or another. ? Poo missed that memo.
As far as I can tell it's all clicker adjustments. But the Doo and Poo systems react to what the sled is doing. If you're turning right, then the left shock stiffens up to prevent roll. If you leave the ground then they all stiffen up to brace for the impact. Stuff like that. The Cat system doesn't make these these "active" adjustments.as in cat moves the clicker? i think that's what stronger800 turbo had. doo/polaris changing valving inside magnetically or some tech like that?
using a yaw sensor like the one in all of our vehicles. As far as I can tell it's all clicker adjustments. But the Doo and Poo systems react to what the sled is doing. Not just yaw, pitch and roll too... with throttle and brake position input as wellusing a yaw sensor like the one in all of our vehicles.
Holy shit. On paper is awesome in execution …….. well I’m sure there will be some threads next year. LolNot just yaw, pitch and roll too... with throttle and brake position input as well
Polaris uses an IMU, there are no shock sensorsDoo also controls rebound. Sounds like Poo is using the shock to measure movement vs doo uses a arm and rear suspension arm sensors. I am curious how much range of adjustment the poo shocks have? Doo shocks range is impressive. Both the doo and poo shocks are way more sophisticated than cat, cat is just giving you adjustable shocks via a button.
that seems better. measuring shock shafts would seem more complicated. those systems work. go try a donut with your truck. the sensors will pick it right up, apply inside brakes, etc. whatever it needs to be straightPolaris uses an IMU, there are no shock sensors
Correct, I can run comfort mode on my doo and go around a corner, start pushing and reach my shock mode button and go to sport, my sled in a second will no longer push. I also have a 600 x for my wife and one ride it got really rough, I hit a big bump at night around 60 and my smart shox sled went right tru it like a 1footer. I waited a few minuts for my wife and took het sled thru the same bump at the same speed , blew the front end way up in the air, huge difference. No matter how , overall you can't be electronic controlled shocks. As far as I can tell it's all clicker adjustments. But the Doo and Poo systems react to what the sled is doing.
