I have an 08 trail converted 600r. My speedo has a hi beam light, oil light, and a brake light. I had to tow a friends sled about 5 miles in low snow and ice cond but never saw a temp light to come on.

Are you talking about an RR or R??

The R has a temp light in the tach but there is no safety feature associated with overtemp, just a light.

If it's an RR then I learn something new all the time, I didn't realize the RR had a speedo. I thought they came with the same tach as the racer. In that case it would have a temp light with the overtemp safety features built into the CDI and will enter Limp Mode when the temp reaches a specified setpoint (throttle position specific).

I believe that the RR came with the same tach as the racer. So it cant have a low oil light can it?[/b]
The RR has a low oil light seperate from the tach. It's about 1/2" in diameter and mounted to the cowl next to the tach.
