The power bloc clutches are very adaptable to many different sleds, Here in Quebec they are extremely popular. There are many very high mingled sleds in all brands still on the snow and if you see under the hood most have gone to the power bloc clutches. Lots of dealers keep then in stock for a quick turn around for customers. You can run them for thousands of miles and they hold up fantastic. As a matter of fact I believe Poo uses them on their fan sleds from the factory. They use them on high horsepower turbo Cats and 1200 Doo with turbos also. Great alternative to OEM clutches and easy and fast to get.

There’s a video with them testing it on two identical 1200 Doos. They run them against each other and the CV Tech sled wins 7 out of 8 times and they switched riders and had same outcome. They have developed their clutch for specific models that are pre calibrated and ready to bolt on and go. The first two they did were popular models in Quebec Cat 1100 turbo and the Doo 1200. They keep experimenting and making more changes as years go on. The new CV Tech-4 has built in overdriv. So they are the real deal.

Videos were interesting, So do spring changes and weight profiles go away on this clutch? Wonder how it works for a trail sled, They are ugly thats for sure.

I wonder what tuning options there are as far as springs go and how close their specs are, Weight profile was a big thing with standard style clutches I guess its not a thing with these?

The pb-80 can easily handle an 800/850 even with mods, and studs, and aggressive trail riding. Guys are running them on their 260/290 hp sidewinders and turbo doos. I have 7500-ish miles on my pb-80 on my modded and studded 1200. I can beat the doo 800s and run with the 850s. I beat my brothers 850 backcountry regularly.

They're easy to tune, virtually maintenance free, quiet, and reliable. Just make sure you get the correct bolt (if your particular sled will need a new one from cvtech) and buy the steel holding tool.

I'm buying one this summer for 16 cat m8000. Stock team clutch is a loud annoying pile of junk.

I run a D&D Yellow spring and 77 G cat weights, Not sure what starting point I would be at with this clutch. Is their customer service good?
