I'm curious about their gear as well. Love my Motorfist stuff but my CKX Mission helmet has really impressed me for trail riding, and the waterproof/breathability ratings on the high end CKX is on par with Motorfist's eVent at a fraction of the cost.

I'm curious also. Pricing is very good on CKX stuff. They even have a jacket with an LED strip across the back but I've never seen anyone with one.

 

I have owned CKX jacket (Element) and pants and had a CKX jacket for my wife.. Never had an issue with them. I dont have them now (sold them for more than I paid for them) and wife and I are using Olympia gear now (great deal on them last summer). But I would have no issues buying another set of CKX jacket/pants. I owned/have owned FXR and Activa gear as well and CKX is just as good.

I also use CKX balaclavas, gloves, and helmets. Their gear has been very good to me for the price.

 

Good to know. I found a jacket called the CKX Ungava which is rated as “extremely warm” for a good price here in Canada. It is the model that has an option for the LED light strip as mentioned. I took a chance and ordered it before my size was out of stock. I’ve had FXR in the past as well and liked their stuff, just have a hard time forking out $600 for a jacket alone

 

Yes that's the one. Post your feedback on it once you get a chance to use it. I'm all set for my gear but my son's still growing so always looking for quality and value

 

The owner of FXR lives in my town and same thing - I cant justify the price any more. Although I still use a set of FX fuel pants that I got a smokin' deal on (found them at Value Village with tags for $49).

 

Thats a very nice jacket espcially on sale. Specs are very good.

 

I still have a CKX jacket I bought at least 20 years ago. On a Trip got severe cold wave and my old wore out jacket wasn’t doing the job. So stopped in at a Bombi dealer and believe it or not they had my size and aCat coloured coat. I bought it cause it was cheap and like every sales pitch. The girl I bought it off of says you have the warmest of all our jackets. She was rite it is and still is super warm. I use it now to work on trails or plow with the 4 wheeler and it’s still very warm. It’s a bit bulky and no option to remove a liner but for the price it was a great buy. I’ve been looking at their newer stuff also and it is much more technical and up to date than 20 years ago. I would recommend CKX for any off the products they sell.

My first impressions of this jacket was oh boy, what did I buy? 🤦🏻‍♂️. It felt light, like it was lacking insulation. I’m used to much heavier jackets with removable inner shells. This does not have it. The zippers and how it felt in your hands said quality though. A few rides in and I’m quite happy with my purchase. The jacket is warm, blocks the wind and the fit is great. If you’re looking to save a few bucks and still be warm, this is it. I hope it lasts for many years to come.

Out of the box, these pants felt like they would be warm, comfortable and screamed quality. They are all of these things. My last pair of pants I wore for 8 seasons, so the bar was set high. Every expectation has been met so far and I’d recommend to anyone in the market for new bib style pants.

The fit for both items are true to size for me. I’ve always worn XL in both jacket and pant and I do not feel cramped or like I’m swimming in either.

 

I bought the Ungava jacket also not for sledding but plowing, working outside etc. Got the black and hiviz and it is fantastic and have not even hesitated to snowmobile with it. Good stuff and good price which doesn’t surprise me with the other brands they are affiliated with. Same group is Qualipieces, Roller-ski, Blizzers, Mission, etc. They have knack at designing stuff that works.
