mine sled is stock except for a can but i wrapped mine in foil tap and have not had an issue in 5000 miles. Maybe luck?

 

That's exactly what I did plus foil tape on other stuff near exhaust , 7200 miles no problem with the coolant tank .

 

yes the 2012 were weak mine went as well. The replacement looks the same but have had no further problems. I think if you shut them down after a hard run the turbo is so hot it puts allot of pressure in tank from coolant boiling in turbo? and maybe the exhaust heat weakens them as well? I think it helps to let sled idle for at least 30sec to a minute before shutting down.

 

Have been letting them idle for 1-2 minutes after stopping and have had 0 issues. Have a 2010 and had a 2012 turbos.

 

I have the "new improved" version on my 13,.......its BLACK. Thereby giving the owner no chance to look inside and see how full the bottle is. Translucent plastic prices must have been up when they built the 13 models........

 

Mine is black also, so the previous owner must have put a new one in mine.

None of the turbo tanks where ever anything but black.

 

But it was see through black.
