I just picked up an almost mint sled. This thing has only about 4 hours on it.

Now the bad news, the gas tank has a huge split in it.
Does anyone know of a source for repair of these old plastic tanks. Or a lead on an intact tank. I'm not sure untill I do some research on what other sleds or years will fit.

Thanks,
gat

Update.
I found a Mt Morris (read local) marine fiberglass repair shop that does plastic welding.
I won't know if it was a good deal until I start hittin' the fall swap meets, but at least I can start screwing things back together.
If you are in the market for f-glass repairs in mid-Michigan these guys are all right to work with so far.
If you want the name of the shop just pm me.

Weeellllllll........$0.....A friend of mine bought this sled in the crate in '72. It was one of the first machines I had ridden. We'd get it out and take it around the yard a few times for about the first 10 years he had it. Then I started gettin my owm toys and he lost interest. This sled has been sitting in his garage since 1981.

I'd been tryin' to talk him into selling it to me ever since. With no luck at all.
Now for the bad news. This summer he found out he has cancer.
One of the first things he did was to call me and tell me to come and get this machine.

I've just about got it all detailed up and am going to hit the vintage shows coming up this fall. This sled will stay in my garage indefinately.

And my friend is still fighting.........
