They are 70 to 100lbs heavier than a comparable Doo ride ready. Owned them.

Not guessing. I owned them and there are many weight comparisons done, not all are true weights. They are 70 to 100 lbs heavier.

Yamaha makes a good sled, just know they are heavy. That's why the four stroke stigma (heavy compared to 2 stroke), this is not true when comparing a Ski Doo four stroke to a 2 stroke, they can be very similar in weight and some cases the same! They need to be weighted trail ready with fluids for accurate weights, not dry weight. Not bashing just facts.

Who cares about dry weight, what matters is ride ready weight!

Found a post on TY that showed a guy weighing an XTX-SE full of fluids. The weight shows 597.1 less 2.3 for the straps used. That makes the wet weight 594.8.

For comparison he also weighed a few others. The Pro RMK 163 was 511.7 which is a very light mountain sled. You also have to take into consideration that the Vipers do not have tunnel coolers so they carry very little snow.

Just picked up an issue of am-snow. The wet weight of a 2017 sidewinder turbo is 671 lbs!!! 137" track...
