I'm going to change the pistons on Mountain Cat 570. Just a question, as never owned an Arctic Cat 570 before. Would I have to change the cylinder/wall as well? Or are they good to just change the piston, like Ski-Doo and Polaris? Thanks in advance.

Mag side, on the head, the nut came loose and blew the aluminum head gasket. Twice. What gives? Never had problem with the nuts coming loose and blowing the head gasket before. Luckily the pistons, ring and cylinder walls are still good. Just need to vent. Also, gas leaked out by the gauge, and my daughter got soaked in gas. Never dealt something like this before. Oh well, the price we gotta pay for having toys hey?

This will fix the gas leak.

I ported one if those back in the day. Raised compression. Enlarged and raised exhaust port all the way out to the manifold, matched manifold and intake. Dyno tuned.
it was fast.
I know if one more recently that was 10 Hp more than mine.
i never had a problem, guy with the hotter one didn’t either as far as I know.
(add about 10 Hp to whatever your thinking)
