It would be nice to see that a little higher since it's clutched...I have an '02 ZR800 EFI and hit 110MPH on radar with 4 different passes. 110.9 being the highest. Completely stock, including clutching.
Ran 116 mph in half mile with carbide studs, 410 main jets ,gutted air box, stock weights and helix, geared 26-37.I lowered it down But I still could only get 116. Conditions were
30 degrees snowing, plowed track but it was not that smooth. Will Ice picks give me more speed? I was beet by Stock Srx 118, Piped Viper 118,1996 Mach Z 118.
I tried other helixes they would lower the revs up to about 100 mph then they would start to over rev on top end 7400 rpms. When It revs higher then 7200 the speed is slower.
I tried after market weights 72.5 and 74.5 the profile on them must not be as good because they made it rev higher also. Any suggestions?
I ran 121 today much better.4-6-03
So are you tellin me that an RX ton is goin to pass you guys. A stock, with just cosmetics in my hometown was rumored to do 128mph. But I personally believe his speedo forced him to talk out of his ass, some people just don't understand how much they are off. Apparently though, some book he has says it is suppose to do 126. Anyway this should get you fellas roiled up!!
A stock RX1 is good for 114 radar ZR9 116 radar, It's the way it gets there that's amazing, when are you guys ever going to learn that 2 bangers are not top end screamers. Clutched RX1 is good for 119. Fastest run on radar I've seen for F7 is 115, most around 112.
