There may have been 2 yesterday. I just read about a 17 year old that was killed when struck by another snowmobile coming in the opposite direction. They were both going up a hill and reached the top about the same time. One wet over the other and the 17 year old was hit in the head. It did not say anything about alcohol being a factor in this crash.
There was 2 yesterday so it's actually 8 total. Since the first back on Dec.28 we're ave. 1 death less than every 2 days. The teenager (#7) was just real unfortunate. 2 sleds on narrow trail meeting at the top of a blind hill. #8 in Solon, Me. does appear to be alcohol related. At this rate we'll set a new record for fatalities before the end of the month. With Feb. and March to get through as well I shudder to think what our final number could be.
