the northern ..DACK region is supposed to get( the general consensus) anywhere from 8-14" like around the tupper lake area. check out the NOAA.com website, its all there[/b]

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight EST
Tuesday night. storm strengthening over the Tennessee Valley tonight... will
track through eastern New York and New England on Tuesday. The
storm will bring a heavy accumulation of snow to the southern
Adirondacks from late this evening through late Tuesday evening...
mainly at elevations above 1500 feet. Rain may mix with the snow
for a time between midnight and daybreak. However... the
precipitation will be entirely snow thereafter. The snow will
gradually taper off Tuesday evening.

Snow will begin falling across the southern Adirondacks by late
this evening. One to 3 inches of snow may accumulate before the
snow mixes with... or changes to rain... sleet or freezing rain
between midnight and daybreak. Colder air moving into the region
around daybreak will change any mixed precipitation to snow. At
elevations above 1500 feet an additional 5 to 9 inches of snow
will accumulate Tuesday and Tuesday evening... with lower
elevations receiving an additional 2 to 5 inches. A northwesterly
wind will increase to 15 to 25 miles an hour early Tuesday night
causing the snow to drift.

they are saying it might be more rain than snow now....Global warming sucks[/b]
its not global warming...its because instead of getting colder air from the arctic circle like we used to we are getting warmer air from the gulf of mexico and that area.....all we neeed is for the jetstream to change and we will be back to normal...trouble is it dont seem to want to change. I live in the extreme east of new york and i didnt get any rain yet its been all snow...hoefully it stays that way too
