I noticed my 03 XCR8 with 7,000 miles had broken the front torque arm. Last night i was working on my brother's 2001 XCR8 and noticed his is also broken. His is in the 7,000 mile range also. Just a heads up. I'm not sure if it isn't the aluminum shaft (3rd from the front) that causes this. I noticed on mine the ends wear to a taper....may cause some excessive play in there leading to fatigue of the steel. Both our sleds have 136" and the front mount dropped down.

Xtra-10 front torque arms are known for cracking. The extra weight and HP of an XCR8 probably increases the chances of this happening, tho' any X-10 that's been ridden hard is suspect. Definitely something to keep an eye on!
