will an xc 500 pull 58 gram weights??? if so what primary spring do we need to use to get it to run... Just looking for a cheap way out on rebuilding this clutch. Already have a set of 58 gram weights.... stock was 54... I'm assuming the 4 gram difference isnt going to make THAT much of a difference as it is for a beginning rider.... What primary spring would you suggest to make it run good with those 58 gram weights???

58's are a little heavy. You could try a polaris black/green spring(120/340), or a little stiffer spring yet.
I like 56 weights with the stock blue/white spring(120/310).

was that a typo or is the black/green spring really 120? I don't know polaris springs at all...

my 2006 xc 500 sp came stock with the black/green spring and 10-56 weights. I put a goodwin clutch kit in it that came with a new spring and 10-60 weights and yes the black green is a 120/340, not sure if that helps at all
