Went out for a good rip today. Was riding with a few friends, 08 xfire800, 05 mach z 1000, 99 mxz 670ho . Had to start with a quick race to start off the ride. Lined up with the mach and a f1000 with a 1200 kit on it. very impressive power out of the xfire. i only hade 24 miles on my machine and i weigh about 300lbs with all the gear. buddies mach is ported and polished and he weighs around 150lb. Same with the f10, small guy big hp. I got a good hole shot, at 300ft the mach caught me and we stayed pretty much even for the 660. I don't know about the f10, we both seemed to have him in the 660 but that thing turned on huge at the 600ft mark, Pulling away from us with authority. Anyways i was really impressed with the new 1000, power is awesome ride is very good. The only thing i didn't like is the fuel mileage. It burnt about 3/4 of a tank and the doo was just over a quater. i realize. it has to break in. Any ways just wanted to share my story with the world.

I went for a 150 mile ride last week and was the best in our group on fuel. Rode with a 08 CF 1000 SP, 2001 800 Poo twin pipes, F8 Tony stewart, and a 700 Pro x2 with 136 long track conversion. I have 1600 miles on mine and it usually is the best in my group. Even a 700 Dragon uses more fuel.
Keep riding it, after 500 miles it should loosen up. The 08 CF uses 6 buck more than my 07.
