I'm looking into buying a new sled. My polaris dealer has a left over 2005 xc 700. He told me he wants $7,000 bucks for it. I feel like this price is a little heavy. I'd almost be leaning toward the new 600 HO for that price. Also, do you think the 700 is faster than the 600HO? Any OPINIONS, are appreciated.

well, seeing as how the MSRP for that sled is $7800, i'd say that price is WAY high for a leftover. I'd tell him where he can stick it....

sorry, though, i can't help on which one is faster.

Yes thats a horrible price. I would say 6000-6500 depending on if you are a loyal customer or not would be a good price. The 700 probably has a better top end than the 600HO but they would be pretty even for trail riding as in speed. Considering they are in different chassis I won't say anything about cornering because obviously the stock 600 HO will handle better than the 700 edge IMO.

Last year I paid 6000 out the door for a leftover 03. I saw the exact same sled on e-bay new from a dealer closing out his 03 stock in february and selling the same 700 for 5500. Kind of ticked me off but o'well. I think there is some room to play. If not call around. Have cash ready. Cash always talks loud.
