So who's it going to be????

Is U of M going to break out and deliver a punch to MSU??

Is MSU going to avenge last years nail-biting triple overtime spanking??

Is U of M going to threepeat this years losing streak??

Is MSU going to let U of M roam on their home turf??

Is U of M headed to the Rose Bowl(cough cough)??

Is MSU headed to the Rose Bowl(Ummm well)??

Is U of M going to display their pre-season ranking dominance??

Is MSU going to roll over and play dead??

Is U of M going to put an end to all questions??

Is MSU going to break the U of M rivalry dominance of current years??

Is U of M still ranked??

Is MSU going to play all four quarters??

Is U of M going to put up a good fight to good Ole Sparty??

Is MSU going to shoot the tail of that big critter and send it packing??

So many questions, to be answered in just 60 minutes!!

BTW, my wife and I are graduates of MSU so you know where we stand. I actually had the honor of attending the 1988 MSU USC Rose Bowl and my dad attended the 1966 Rose Bowl. It's going to be a great game!!

GO STATE!

as an Alumni member I have to support MY university! You know its a tribute to UofM's program that is has so many supporters who have no ties to the university (similar to Norte Dame) whatsoever. However, I get annoyed with these people who seem to have an extreme dislike for MSU simply because they are a UofM fan...that rivalry stems from those who attend each school more so then it does from what happened or happens on the playing field. Sorry for my rant, but I work with a lot of die hard UM fans who went to every school BUT UofM, it gets annoying debating with them.

Will root for both team on saturday's but when they go against each other i usually will root for BLUE. This year MSU is playing very well behind some excellent play of the QB and offensive game plan so kind of hard to go BLUE with their lack luster game planning and execution on the field. If I need to choose it would be MSU. If MSU should win they need to continue to win and make a Jan 1 bowl other these wins now are for nothing.

Go green-man that's hard to say, but right now, U-M sucks. I like the michigan teams in the big 10, u-m first, msu second, but right now, u-m needs to make some serious changes, both offensively and defensively. I kind of hope that michigan loses the rest of their games so that the u-m alumni will bitch like hell and get some changes done. Lloyd (aka Bo) needs to stop playing conservative ball, and he needs to fire up his damn defense. :beerchug:

Oh how I long for the Bo and Woody show.  Even when I went to college there a few years later, it just wasn't the same game.

You guys crack me up, UM has a couple of tough years and you call for Lloyd's head. 3 losses really isn't that bad a in a year but for UM it's awful, it kills me too as I bleed Maize & Blue but if you put it into perspective Lloyd does a great job. UM has won or shared the Big Ten title 5 out of the last 8 years, they run a clean program, & until this week they had the longest stretch in the top 25 of any program in the country. Don't forget UM has had a ton of injuries this year and they miss Braylon terribly.

State looks to have a good team this year, which they do about once every 15 years or so so they have a good chance of winning. I still think Meechigan will pull it out of Henne can pull his head out of his ass.

Name a program outside of Florida who has been as consistently as good as Michigan over the past 20 or more years.

auburn, tennesee, nebraska, texas, washington, iowa, just to name a few, especially if you look at their overall records(including bowl games), michigan got lucky to have WOODSON and co. in '97 simple as that, other than that OBNE crowning moment(season), tell us what they've accomplished with most of their ''nailbiters'' :bounce:

You're kidding right?

All of the teams you have mentioned have stretches where they did not even make a bowl game. Nebraska & Washigton are in the toilet right now, the Huskies have been since James left. With the exception of the Rose bowl last year which could have gone either way Texas cannot win a big game. Iowa was terrible unitl Ferrence took over and they're 2-2 right now, OSU just blew them out. Auburn was on probation and they've been inconsistent over the past 5 years. Tennessee has a similar record and the same number of national titles as Michigan, over the last 10 or so years prior to that they were not a good team.

UM has lost some games they should not have and over the last 2 years they have not won many BIG games, before that Lloyd had a great record against top 10 teams.

You're kidding right?///////// no

Nebraska & Washigton are in the toilet right now, ///////// and michigans out of the water trap elbow themselves right?

With the exception of the Rose bowl last year which could have gone either way Texas cannot win a big game. //////////like i said, WOODSON and co. won the last rose bowl M won, forgetting about  usc 2 yrs ago, eh? texas last year???

Iowa was terrible unitl Ferrence took over and they're 2-2 right now, /////////  like M's in any better shape right now, don't let the hayden frye era slip your mind!!

OSU just blew them out. ////////// see what happens come november,,,,

Auburn was on probation and they've been inconsistent over the past 5 years./////////so they were on probation,, michigan has been imo very inconsistent during this time also

Tennessee has a similar record and the same number of national titles as Michigan, over the last 10 or so years prior to that they were not a good team.////////// 10 yrs?? try looking back further if you truly want to see REAL M football,,, go to local book store and search for book titled:ONE GAME SEASON,,Ohio State vs Michigan by Steve White, look at the dominance by M during the years Bo and Mo were in charge, as a matter of fact, look at the unbelievable stat of how from after the 1969 OSU game to the final game of reg season vs Ohio State in 1975 that M was an astounding 57-0-2 vs ALL teams faced(including non-conference schedule also) heading into the ''game of the season'' with OSU, their only losses during that time were to OSU,, now that's dominance, something we'll never see under Carr, he's too conservative, plain and simple

UM has lost some games they should not have and over the last 2 years they have not won many BIG games, before that Lloyd had a great record against top 10 teams.//////// see above reply, like i said, Lloyd sucks!!
<div align="right">index.php?act=findpost&pid=897041

any stat(yearly records/teams played/scores/and a few others are in that book, and in that book you'll truly see/read about M football at it's finest, mark my words,, BTW what's the record lately vs OSU ??? :lol2: :smilielol: yeah i thought so,,

edit: don't bring the ''M had such greater talent back then from being able to offer more scholarships'' vs equal scholarships at all schools today bullshit, why do Fla schools and Cal schools and greater plains schools have ''even playing field'' talent? because they can recruit AND coach, something Lloyd isn't good at, yes he can recruit, just not coach, he's too soft, way too soft,,something Bo and Mo weren't

Even I admit U of M has had some awesome seasons ever since I can remember. It's about time MSU steps up. 20 years between championships is way too long. Especially for a large university with so many resources. Last year MSU could have had a amazing season, as the games they lost were within touchdown. They just seemed to lose steam in the last 15 minutes and give up the games. I am sure glad that I took the opportunity and drove out to the Rose Bowl in Dec of 1987, as generations of classes after me never had the chance. Man, has the time flown though!

Good debate C Note , I think you're wrong but it's been fun anyway. lol

First off I love Bo, but he never won a National Championship and he had more poor seasons than Lloyd has, remember 84 when they were 6-6 and lost to BYU? Don't give me this crap that they got lucky with Woodson, I believe he was recruited by Lloyd and Lloyd used to his full potential and they won, don't forget they were 10-2 and won the Orange bowl in 98 without him, pretty good. Moeller sucked, how many 8-4 season did he have back to back anyway?

If you want to get rid of someone get rid of Jim Herrman.

MI has back to back 3 loss seasons, not great but it could be worse. Had Henson not screwed Lloyd we woulnd't have been stuck with Navarre for 4 years. Yeah I know losing to OSU has been a problem, I blame it on Hermann for not figuring out the spread offense.

GO BLUE!
