.LOW PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO ORGANIZE OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
THIS AFTERNOON...AND STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES INTO SOUTHEAST UPPER
MICHIGAN BY THURSDAY EVENING. LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD
THE AREA THIS EVENING IN ADVANCE OF THIS APPROACHING LOW...AND
INTENSIFY DURING THE DAY THURSDAY. THE EXACT TRACK OF THE SURFACE
LOW REMAINS VARIABLE...WHICH MAKES SPECIFIC SNOW AMOUNTS DIFFICULT
TO FORECAST AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...WIDESPREAD SNOW OF 6 TO
UPWARDS OF 10 INCHES MAY BE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL

Oh and for all of you heading to the copper country, I just got word its a balmy 80 degrees and no snow.... so you should ride the eastern up.... :coffee-n-news:

...HEAVY SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM THURSDAY TO 5 AM EST FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MARQUETTE HAS ISSUED A HEAVY SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM THURSDAY TO 5 AM EST FRIDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

EXPECT LIGHT SNOW ON THURSDAY MORNING TO BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE AFTERNOON AND ACCUMULATE 4 TO 5 INCHES BY SUNSET. AN ADDITIONAL 4 TO 6 INCHES WILL FALL THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE THE SNOW DIMINISHES TO LIGHTER SNOW SHOWERS LATE AT NIGHT...PUSHING STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL TO 8 TO 10 INCHES.

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
