I did not order a new sled but heading to my dealer on Friday to pick up a 2014 ZR 6000 El Tigre with 3500 miles for my wife. I have a 2015 ZR 7000 El Tigre but am looking forward to some seat time on the CTec2 600.
My buddy has a 2018 6000 and that engine is a beast for a 600 and excellent on fuel and oil

Congrats on the sled. I am sure you will love it. I need to get to my dealer to order some goodies for my sleds for next Fall. Give them some business and just to say hi.

My 6000 used just as much fuel as the 800's I ride with. Have to be pretty easy on it to get good fuel mileage, (I'm sure Jim will tell you differently once he sees my post). Great motor though, had fun with mine.

I have seen the same thing. Have a guy that we ride with quite a bit and if we get pushing it he's not much better on fuel than the 800's and not as good as my turbo. I guess they have to work harder to keep up.

Ya mine spent a lot of time @8000+ rpm to keep up.

Looks like Thundercat takes it for the most of one particular model!

Polaris is shipping like normal. And slower times is for sure expected. But a month and a half of absolutely nothing is bad. We keep asking cat whats up and they hit us with "its all shipped, should see it soon" but on the cat tracker webside all ordered are not processed as even being picked yet. I have other dealerships calling asking for parts because they are in the same boat. Cat says they ship, but they wont. My boss said he thinks they are just lying to everyone because they want to sell. More parts in stock means they can try to get sold for more money. If I took a guess. Id say yamaha is working to buy them.
been down this road with textron many times. When they are good they are good. When they screw the pooch they do it well. And they tend to screw it more often on common parts than odd ball things

My buddy has the 6000 and his son has the 8000 and you guys are correct. The 8000 uses about the same oil and gas as the 6000 but as you mentioned if pushed hard the 6000 uses a bit more of both. The 6000 is still a great motor on oil and gas, pretty much equal to my 7000 at every fill up.
As far as the shipping issues with Cat, I also believe something is up. I ordered a new jacket and (2) tunnel bags 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Before the Covid-19 I had no delivery delays.

So any of you snowcheckers Canadian and have your dealers informed you if you are or aren't getting your sled in the fall?

My dealer said that until this lawsuit is sorted out there will be no MY21 Cats coming to Canada.

So what has AC offered all of you Canucks that ordered snow checks? Deposit back or any commitments?

My friends that ordered new sleds are getting them. A few already picked them up. My neighbour traded his 800 Cross Country on his new Riot X 800 which he has in his garage. It arrived 6 weeks ago and last week I saw a load of Cats heading north on Hwy 17 towards North Bay.

Don’t know what part of Canada you are, but in Kijiji here the Cat dealers are still listing used, new leftover‘s and 21 Riots they ordered for stock. Prices are listed msrp but they deal.

Yes. Ottawa area but I took a better look and in stock 21’s it’s only showing Riot’s and ZR models no Thundercats. Here’s a pick of their add in Kijiji.
