Hey FB -

I'm not from Sudbury (from Toronto) but when I was last on these boards last winter I remember you rode a super high mileage Ski-doo.. You finally part ways with it? Why did you go and join the 'dark side'? :)

Logged a good 35,000 miles in the Sudbury area from 1990 to 1999, but now reside in the west outskirts of Ottawa.

Rode out of Black Lake, in Lively, so Penage was a central hub, but I have travelled from Temagami to the Soo, and most parts in-between over the years. Lots of great trails/lakes if you know where the snow is.

I have notice there are a few of us from Sudbury

So how many HCS members are there here that live or ride in Sudbury :dunno:

Maybe we could get a Sudbury HCS.com ride sometime in Feb :beerchug:

I live in Sudbury but ride out of either Chemmy or Azilda :div20:

I am all the way from Windsor, but we have a cottage on the French River. I am just about a 2 hr sled ride from Sudbury, we ride up there all the time. Maybe you can show me a better place to get gas then down by science north. Once had a crew of about 20 sleds following me a round the loop trying to find gas last year. A ride in Feb sounds good let me know.

take top c about 20 km from 108d junction into coniston follow c across 17 toward garson look for bobs husky signs. This is only about 10 min out of coniston if you want to head east you would have to bactrack to coniston and head east from there it is only about 5km out of your way.

RODE SOME TRAILS UP NEAR SUDBURY IN MARCH '77. ENDED UP STAYING AT SOME SLED LODGE WITH A BUDDY CAUSE THE WHITE WAS PILING UP ON THE ROADS AND THE EXTENDED STAY BECAME A THREE DAY EVENT. JOHN HAD THE ARCTIC CAT AND BACK THEN I STILL LOVED SKI-DOO EVEN THOUGH TRACK PORBLEMS PLAGED ME WHEN IT COUNTED MOST. MET MY 1ST PRACTICE WIFE THERE AND ATE CATFISH BETWEEN JAUNTS BEHIND THE FROZEN NICKEL. SLEPT MOSTLY IN THE DAYS AND PATROLED DURING THE NIGHTS.

NICE MEMORIES

I'm from Sudbury and ride primarily on weekends. Circled Sudbury north to Kapuskasing, south to Britt, east to North Bay and west to the Soo and most trails in between. I love to ride hard and fast and often do 200 to 300km's a day. If this is what you like to do, let me know and maybe we can get together.

I'll keep watch for your ride in Feb.
