I'm trying to wire a relay on a 2005 prox( for an NOS set up ). I used the yellow wire off the stator harness. When the sled is running, that wire, and all of the yellow wires light up a test light. However, they do not activate the relay.??? I must need to pull power from a specific location, like a wire that would go to the battery if the sled had one.

If anybody could point me in the right direction, I would be deeply in debt!

Thanks,

nippy

Don't know much about nos but. The yellow wire is ac voltage..

If the relay is designed for dc try a regulator off a electric start sled. They have ac regulation along with dc., Red wire I believe.

You can buy a small rectifier at radio shack, run any yellow wire to it,and have 12vdc out the other end.Just be sure that you size the rectifier correctly for the load. Volts x amps = watts. Be sure to use 13 for the voltage no,as the stator will put out up to 14.5 vac.
