Anyone with any thoughts on what to wear underneath the helmet?
I've only seen two different types, and thay are:
- Neoprene mask
- Cotton helmet mask (balaclava)

But do you guys have any brand/type to recommend, because they're so many out there and I really want the best!

Get a balaclava but not a cotton one. Cotton absorbs water and will make your head wet/cold. Find one made from synthetic material.

I just thought of some hybrid.
Like the 3/4 one in this pic

But cotton to cover the rest of the head, including the back.

Neoprene baclavia. If you sweat the cotten will get wet and you will get cold.

If you want the ultimate in a balaclava, look up "smart wool" on Google, and buy one from one of the many vendors selling smart wool products - they run about $30 or so, but you'll wonder how it can be so comfortable, warm on cold days, cool on warm days, etc.

I bought a balaclava this fall, it's called UnWind. It's windproof and almost waterproof and I have used it in colder temps, (-30 C), and it's been great.
