I'm running 23-40, 1 3/8 track, no studs, D&D kit. It may be too much this year as I am about 215lbs, and used to be about 195-200. (wife feeds me too good). Great top end and accelerates hard. what about you???

I don't live by any lakes, but the last time I went to WI, I got 110 on the speedo. I don't even know what the stock gearing is on the 03 F7??What is it?? Since a lot of my riding in Iowa is ditches and short winding trails, I should probably gear down. Just seeing what everyone is running and how it works for them.

I think that you are probably running the best gear ratio right now.

I ran 22/41 last season (10T drivers, 1 3/8 track with 153 studs, I weighed approx. 225 lbs. with gear on). My sled pulled really strong up 85 mph or and then seemed to fall flat. Probably need to lean out the top rpm range a bit (clutching seemed to be good -- Simons CPR kit), but it seems like a higher gear would have helped. I plan on bulking up to 250 lbs. this winter though, so I think I may leave the gearing alone in my case -- lol!
