I installed the vforce3 reeds in my sled the other night. After install I started the sled and it idled at 1500rpm where it was 1800 before. I rechecked everything and even sprayed WD-40 around the boots, thinking there may be an air leak. I ended up readjusting the idle up to 1800rpm. After I took it for a ride my idle was up to around 2400rpm after 5 miles or so but when the sled cools off it returns to 1800 again. I don't understand whats going on here? Anyone else with this problem? I'm still thinking it may be leaking air but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

if you suspect an air leak try spraying some carb cleaner around the boots where the reeds are while the engine is running. The carb cleaner will make the engine rev up or try to stall it. This works on automobiles. It maybe worth a shot?
