What do you think of the USI PX-301 Project X skis? How do they handle on trail and off? I am juggling in between them and the SLP Powder Pros for my Crossfire. What would you choose. The USI's i found are $300 and the Pow pros are 380 (brand new out of catalog).

Two buddies of mine bought USI Project X ski's one took them off after the first ride and the other was to stubborn to admit that they sucked. Steering effort was ridicuolous and the unpredictability of the ski was scary. That was my experience.

Just bought some brand new PX 301 ski's at Haydays from some guy for 165.00 with 8" carbides. Looking for more flotation in the pow and more aggresive cornering on the trail. Haven't tried them yet but the price was right. I was anticipating having to force the steering some because of the longer carbides but really want the sled to go where I aim it. Might have to reduce the ski pressure some with the limiter strap or go to some shorter carbides if its too tough. Hope they work, just have to wait and see I guess.
