Ok. So I’m looking at better brand bearings for drive shaft when I replace it. Reading up on data for SKF 6009 2RS bearing it says it is filled with electric motor grease. Well thats not ideal. So whats a guy to do besides cleaning all the factory grease and repackaging it? Any bearings with grease designed for sled application? Not sure how many responses I will get this far after winter. Thanks
NTN Formula bearings have low temperature grease in them. I've had really good luck with the blue seal ones. Royal Distributing carries them. Search results for ntn bearings | Royal Distributing
I see they have a pricier one called NTN black ice bearing too.

I used SKF 6009-2RS C3 and flushed out the grease it came with and used a different SKF grease they recommended. LGHP 2/0.4 SKF Hi-Temp Bearing Grease. Link: SKF
Well checked with SKF bearings to see what grease is in the SKF bearings I bought. Not good for cold temperatures. They own Peer bearings now so I got them to check what kind of grease comes in the Cat 6009 bearing. Turns out it’s way better grease. It’s aeroshell 7 good to -73c (-99f). So aftermarket bearings might need grease changed out. I bought the blue amsoil grease to repack my SKF. Would of tried the shell stuff if I had time.
I bought a large tube of the grease SKF recommended for our application and changed it out.
I have familiarity with Aeroshell #7 from my working career as some of the ball bearings we used had that grease in them. Very good low temperature grease.
