broke track tensioner. I don't like the pulling the axle back idea. Too much tensile strength on bolt combined with torque being applied from the axle (as the tensioner bolt goes through the axle). Cat should have stayed with their last design, pushing the axle back. Why try to re-invent the wheel? I therefore, machined a new track tensioner bracket, rather than wait for a week for the part.

Yamaha for years and years has used this type of setup for they're tracks without problems (I have had 4 Yamaha's without problems) they think they do different is they have a cottor key on the shaft.
You MOST LOSSEN THE BIG NUT to adjust the track and I have seen here people posting adjustments on the track w/o loosing the nut on the axle.
