Theres a tps sensor that measures the throttle valve openings by voltage to aid the cdi's mapping of the engines spark timing as you open those carbs.
As far as an air sensor...have no clue what you mean.
Some carbureted snowmobile engines have altitude compensating systems. These use engine vacuum to alter float bowl pressure based on changes to atmospheric pressure.
Someone may have installed a Holtzman Tempa-Flow setup. This alters float bowl air pressure based on ambient temperature. Also adjustable for altitude.
does anyone know where i can get the tester to properly set the tps? it uses a 9volt battery and it is used to set the tps at idle and wot in a dc voltage range. thanks Dave
All you need is a stable 5 vdc supply...like whats in a vehicles cpu. You'll need an accurate digital vtm, and a #25 i believe torx security bit....plus some short jumper wires. Its very easy and 1/2 the battle if you already can get your hands on a regulated dc power supply.
I'd only buy one if in the business of setting the tps. Having some older variable dc supplies that were my test equipment where i worked, it was a no brainer not having to purchase one.
