Got these knee pads for both sleds - My C7 all six came out fine - I love these things - Got to use them yesterday :div20:

The C6 :banghead:

Two screws out , the other four spinning away - I take it there is some kind of recessed knurled nut in the plastic
So before i start throwing wrenches and having to use my brain , maybe someone has an easy fix other then velcro

How to get screws out the easy way ??? I really dont want to think today

Thanx Scott

This is easy Scott....but a pain nevertheless. Just keep spinning while pulling on the console some. The entire anchor and bolt will come out in one. Had 2 bad ones on my C7 while removing the tank....grrrrr! A little JB weld in there ane they ain't going anywhere now!

Another method that has worked for me is to thread the torx bolt into the brass knurled insert and the heat the insert with a propane torch. Then quickly press the insert back in to the cavity with about an eighth of a turn and let cool a few minutes. The unthread the bolt and install you pads. Don't use a power screwdriver!
