everyone is saying that the f5 only goes 95 -100 and the f7 100-110 now think about that you get 40 more horse and 200 cc and you only go 10 miles an hour faster that means that the 900 does about 115 i think that the 7 will go about 120 125 what do you guys think because my old 2000 zl 500 did 95 and i am gonna be pissed if his f7 that i have only goes 100- 110

THAT OLD ZL SPEEDO IS WRONG IT IS ONLY AROUND 90, WITH THE FIRECATS THE SPEEDOS ARE WITH IN 1MPH, I HAVE SEEN MINE AT 111 (F7) IN NOT SO PERFECT CONDITIONS, SO I WOULD BELIEVE IT WILL PUSH 115. fROM A DEAD STOP LINE UP YOUE ZL500 AGAINST THE F7 AND SEE HOW DISAPOINTED YOU WON'T BE

I saw 107 (109 on GPS) on my snow pro and still pulling slightly. Warm day, somewhat hard packed gravel road. Ran out of snow so had to stop. It feels like it's pulling alot harder now that it's colder out. Yet to try top end on a cold day. Scared!! LOL.

Displacement and hp does not equate to top end alone. Gearing, drivers, and clutching also plays a huge roll, not to mention conditions. Also every mph after 100 is way harder to get than the ones upto 90. From what we have seen the f7 will run about ~ 117 in real good conditions. Throw in some gears (like 23/40) and wave bye bye to 120mph. A stocker would really struggle to hit 120 if everything was just right and will not hit 125mph period.

take the zl and the f7 out in powder about 6 inches, the zl will bog and you'll feel the drag. the f7 will make it feel like its on hard packed and there's where your extra 1000 dollars went. Good deal if u ask me.

1" of snow on lake today. 35 degees. 112 mph indicated on digital, clocked 114 mph on radar. Later in the day I saw 114 on the digital, but didn't have the gun on it. If you run the numbers through the chart this thing is geared for 114 mph max in overdrive. rpm/clutch ratio * top gear/bottom * ((track pitch * driver teeth)/12) * 60/5280. 8000/.9 * 22/41 * ((2.52*10)/12 * 60/5280 = 114 mph

2 sleds, different weight riders, and tuning etc...both 109 maxed out 2 miles+
on a lake, ice then snow patches, maybe 112mph max, everyone else is I believe, a bit full of it

That is moving either way, smoked rev 800's, RX1 and zr 800's no problem bottom to top....no 9's to race...don't want to...

Outdoor shop..I hit 109 in 3/4 mile on digital and feel I could have reached maybe 112 if I had more room. Please don't tell me I'm full of it. That's not what this site is about. I believe if you do the calculations the F7 can theoretically do 120-121 in perfect conditions. And we all know that some sleds are faster than others-that's just the way it is.

I am not calling or saying anyone is lying or whatever, but I really don't see how any of these can do 120, for real...since most modded t-cats don't do that. They are fast and hey you never know, but I thought we are talking about real #'s that we have really seen on the speedo...not what you think it will do????

I know this site is for the truth, lets keep it sane also.

Today on the lake:

F7 Standard 120 miles ran 114.7 radar in 2500 feet, everything was stock. The sled was out of gear and the RPM started to rise. The secondary cover plate bottomed out on the helix and you could see 3 contact points on the helix. Max RPM recall was 8080.

F7 Standard v-force reeds clutching and gearing 122.9 mph and thats with the stock track. WOW

The conditions were ideal for both sleds mentioned. Temp may have been mild at -5C.
