Just curious.

Alot of people seem to be taking their Firecats in to get the "updates" done.
And now getting "remapped" seems to be the trend.
I am not questioning whether or not the updates may be vailid.
But myself and many others have not done any updates or remaping yet, and have had all trouble free miles.
Others have had them done, and still are having problems.
Just a point to ponder..................................................

Of course now that I posted this, someone from Cat will probably push the self-destruct remote control button, and blow up my sled
Oh wait, thats not till the day AFTER the warranty runs out......................

kevin,
from what im hearing, the re-mapping is to add more fuel in an overheat situation and thats it . everything else will remain as is and that is probably the reason why not many sleds have seized .

I asked the deaaaaler about the remaping problem, and he said they are only doing it to the ones that are having problems.

I've heard about the "updates" too Kev and I haven't had
any done. 1,966 miles and still going strong! The only thing
I've replaced were idler wheels--3--of them at 900 miles, no
problems since. Yes my dealer did replace them free of charge
thank you :D
