I heard throught the grapevine that the new switchback FST is getting 9-12 mpg. The dealers are flipping out and everyone is po'ed.

Not a good way to start with a new 4stroke

But those sleds are in the "crude" set up mode. Actual milage isn't reported until production sleds are released.

I'm sure everyone here is capable of guessing.

The dealer conference today made it clear that the Polaris Four Stroke M.P.G. in similar conditions would be competitive with similar sleds from other manufacturers. Those with a larger tank, may have some advantage with overall range.

There will not be a larger fuel tank on the 06 sleds than was in the spec. sheets in spring time.

Nobody in my area is getting good MPG on their '06 FST snowmobiles.

Nobody in my area is getting bad MPG on their '06 FST snowmobiles.

I think the sky is falling!

The spring FST's did not even have the anti-detonation system programmed into them yet, I am SURE they were not running at optimum. They were just setup to run reliably.
