Guy's i had ordered a template from cat.....they dont have any
and they are back ordered...my dealer does not have one....
and the other one here on the island won't let me use cause i never
got the machine from him.My question is can u do it with out the
template...being carefull of the frame...going 3 per lug..and offsetting
the stud's...making ur own patteren...i understand that the stracth
patteren's might not be as many as having a template...any comment's???

Take a pice of sheet metal t the dealer that has one. Take a black sharpie marker and trace his. And mark the holes Then Cut it out.

Just a thought.

I've always been told not to use a template or if you do when you drill holes offset from template marks just a bit so that you will create more scratch lines.

the template..my dealer is helping so it should go that

I use one of the new style white out pens ,and mark out the pattern before I start drilling ,much easier to erase than a hole.I have never used a template and put many studs in.

I just took my pattern off the Woodys web site, blew it up to the propper size and traced it out onto a peice of cardboard. Making your holes off a little will create more scratch lines.

here you go. This is what we have been doing. Its real easy just stay a 1/2 inch from the window (backer edge) and don't use the center 2" if you want to be real safe.
This one is real safe.

Thnnx that is what i will do.....dan do they seem to hook up with that patteren...look's real good.Darren
