Hey folks,

Just purchased my 850 129 this past spring and have not ridden it yet so very excited to get some snow. That said, I am coming off a Pro R with Zero storage and now have the ability (thank god) to put a tail bag. For my needs I see 2 options
- Polaris Traverse Tunnel Storage Bag (around $220) and currently available
OR
- The new Lock and Ride Adventure Low - I know this did not come out yet and won't for a few weeks but i am confused as to how the lock and ride can't be stolen right off the back of the sled? Are there locks? I have looked and watch videos and still can't see how anyone could not just take the thing. Also it is almost $50 more.

Lastly, I was thinking of the Cell phone charging bag. I use my cell phone for mapping and I need access to it but it needs to be covered. I found out the hard way by ruining my camera last year on my phone because it got too cold on my trip to Maine (ambient temps were -10F that week)

Love to hear your thoughts... Thanks!

I have the traverse bag. It has plenty of room and functions fine. The new lock and ride bags will be nice with their easy release latch. Any of them can be stolen easy enough though. If you want lockable storage look at linq accessories and adapters for Polaris sleds.

I put the traverse bag on for when I am doing back pack trips. Its nice as it can fit 3 days worth of underwear/socks/shirts along with extra oil. I have found that it is waterproof too which is awesome... unless you put any beverages in and dont secure them... then everything gets wet. To me that bag made the most sense, and it looks like it belongs on the back of the sled.

I believe that the Linq is by far the best for sure but I think that modular style won't really help me. I like to carry the basics for safety and warmth but I'm not the guy who will be strapping axes, shovels, and gas cans on my sleds because I don't ride in areas where that would be necessary and I rarely if ever ride alone so the modularity of the Linq would probably be wasted for me.

There are many Linq bags that are not modular. I used a Up North Technologies rack Up North Technologies | Powersports Accessories with Ski Doo SR21 bag on my 129, and my 137. It will also fit on my 129 Launch. The bag can be locked to the rack. The rack bolts right to the T Slots in the Polaris tunnel. I put 4 small rubber strips made from a old inner tube between the rack and tunnel, to keep the tunnel from being scarred up. When I removed the rack after 1,800 miles and gave the tunnel a little plastic polish spray there was no sign of the rack being there.

I fabricated a flat rack out 2" aluminium angle and shined up old aluminium suspension cross shafts. I can bungie net any size bag or whatever on the back. Way less expensive than factory bags.

Update:

So I went with the Polaris Traverse Tunnel Storage Bag. I purchased off of Ebay and got a good deal on a brand new one. I installed the bag today and overall the bag is great! it has 2 waterproof smaller bags on the inside and I like it A LOT and even more-so since the Rush had basically zero storage. That said, I only have a 129" and there is the underseat storage bag and the Traverse bag does not fit well with the underseat bag. They are mashed up against each other and then against the brake light on the other side. It is a very, very tight fit to the point that it is going to make it difficult to get in the underseat bag.

i am not upset at my purchase and it was still a good deal BUT I would highly recommend a smaller tunnel bag.

Somebody was between De Tour Village and Drummond Island. Did you stay at the Drummond Island Resort?

Nice pictures, thanks.
We left Drummond and went thru customs on St. Joseph Island ON, and then continued to Thessalon ON

Take a look at Polaris Products Archives - Hard Shell Snowmobile Tunnel Bags - Powder Keg . The P-124 looks like it will fit, and comes with, or without the fuel keg.
