Next week!!!!!!!!

Arctic cold is coming next week for Ontario and Quebec!

A lot will be going on across eastern Canada starting this weekend as we may have a series of storms taking aim at the region. Too early to get a handle on tracks and precipitation types. Computer models are all over the place as they are having a tough time adjusting to amount of cold air that will be coming in from the west and north. One thing I am getting confident about is the fact that the Arctic air will overwhelm much of Ontario and Quebec starting early next week and may even take up residence for an extended period.

Brutal cold means no snow but rivers and lakes needs to freeze up ASAP

Will this change the planning of your 2 weeks trip?????????????

:taz:[/b]
Read this Guyzoun...........maybe a storm early next week for our neck of the woods then you know what.....

. A second stronger storm will then quickly follow on the heels of the weaker one Monday. As the weaker storm moves by Sunday night it may drag enough of that cold air down through most of southwestern Ontario setting the stage for a heavier round of snow and possible ice Monday. At this point in time, it looks like from Owen/Parry Sound, Ont to areas just north of Ottawa and Montreal, including Quebec stand the best chance for a major snowfall. North Bay and Sudbury could also get a solid snowfall as well, but, models have been trending farther south with the storm, so places such as Windsor, London and Toronto could still end up getting some decent snow out of this on Monday. Once that storm moves by, then the arctic air charges in with rapidly falling temperatures Monday night and Tuesday from eastern and southwestern Ontario and then into New Brunswick. There will also be some strong lake-effect snow bands setting up directly southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
