how does the speedo on firecats work. does it measure track speed or the TRUE speed you are traveling.

if it's gonna measure the track speed, i guess that would include track spin.......

Yes, it would include some track spin if you were not studded. These new speedo's are within 1-2 mph if you are studded and not spinning. Way more accurate than the old 'pin & gear' type speedo sender.
