Does anyone know how to stop the spark?
I am assembling a 800 ZRT engine in a ZR and I can't stop the ignition spark. It's a open circut ignition, everything. As of now I don't have the chassie harness hooked up, I'm starting at the engine wires. Purple, ground, yellow, yellow.
Any Ideas???????????????????

purple is ing brown is ground yellow is lighting coil if you touch the purple and brown should klll spark

Thanks, but That is the first thing I did and still I have spark.

sounds like the ground wire at its connection on engine has bad contact possibly

you may have a bad cdi seen that before sled just keeps on running with all ing off

Per the cat manual if your condition exists and you don't have any wiring issues it says replace CDI

Thanks Guys for all your help. I changed my cdi box with a 95 closed circut and it works fine, except it's backwards.
