is that the last year 800 XCR? that was a sled that got a bad rap(storm) when first release 1993? the last year i think had valves and was pretty fast.

The storm and XCR 800 were alot different. The 800 xcr had valves in 99. Went to the gen2 chasis in 2000. XCR was a much better sled then the storm ever was.

my buddy bought a new storm in 1993. then found out it was a dog. so traded a new storm for new 1993 TCat and never looked back. countless times i told him the xcr800 with valves is a good sled but he assumes they are all alike. i think one of the mags did a build up on it and was close to 200 HP wnen they were done. always liked that late model xcr800. but my prox is much nicer on the trails.

i love the triple sound, the power, and performance, but the weight and ride quality anit worth it.. edge is sooo much nicer...
